Meg Minetree

Meg began her real estate investing journey in Virginia in 2003. Over the past 20 years, she has managed a portfolio of long- and short-term rentals, new construction and renovation projects, and utilized multiple purchase strategies including BRRRR, seller finance, conventional, commercial, 401k, and HELOC loans, and 1031 exchanges. With an MBA in Project Management and her license to engage in the business of real estate, Meg lives with her husband Jason and their son Andrew on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. This unique market has been drawing visitors for generations as a historical rental destination. As these barrier islands and the locals are dependent on tourist revenue (2022 saw $1.83 billion dollars in visitor spending, #4 in state ranking), laws and ordinances are in place to support a robust short-term rental market. With 130 miles of coastline, each township offers its own draw of visitors looking for beautiful beaches to offshore sportfishing, bird to wild horse watching, shopping to gourmet coastal cuisine, and lighthouses to pirates of the past.
