The unofficial name for the coastal area of Florida on the Gulf of Mexico stretches about 100 miles through five counties: Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, and Bay.
From Pensacola Beach and Navarre Beach on the West, Fort Walton Beach (Okaloosa Island), Destin, Miramar, 30A, and Panama City Beach to the East.
The Emerald Coast is a very popular vacation destination for much of the southern states. With its breathtakingly beautiful beaches, emerald water, white sand, warmer year-round climate, and short-term rental-friendly regulations, this area has been an extremely popular investor market for decades. Destin - Fort Walton Beach
Located on Florida’s Emerald Coast, Destin is known for its white beaches and emerald-green waters. Originating as a small fishing village, it is now a popular tourist destination. It is estimated that 4.5 million visitors come to the area each year. The city styles itself “The World’s Luckiest Fishing Village”, and claims to have the largest fishing vessel fleet in the state of Florida.
Destin is approximately 8 square miles, located on a peninsula separating the Gulf of Mexico from Choctawhatchee Bay. The peninsula was originally a barrier island. Hurricanes and sea level changes gradually connected it to the mainland. In the 1940s, it technically became an island again with the completion of the Choctawhatchee-West Bay Canal.
Scenic 30A
Scenic Highway 30A is in an area known as South Walton County (SoWal). It’s a unique 26-mile stretch of turquoise waters, sugar-white sand beaches, and amazing views of the Gulf of Mexico. 30A is made up of multiple beach communities.
Moving from West to East along the 30A corridor, our beach towns are as follows:
Miramar Beach, Sandestin, Dune Allen Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, Gulf Place, Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach, WaterColor, Seaside, Seagrove Beach, WaterSound, Alys Beach, Seacrest Beach, Rosemary Beach, and Inlet Beach.
Panama City Beach
Panama City Beach’s slogan is “The World’s Most Beautiful Beaches” due to the unique, sugar-white sandy beaches of northwest Florida. Panama City Beach, named the top 3 beaches in the United States by TripAdvisor, has 27 miles of beautiful beaches to choose from and you’ll find a different experience at each stop along the way.
Panama City Beach is a popular vacation destination. PCB sees millions of visitors each year, especially among people in the Southern United States. PCB is also a popular spring break destination, due to its beach and proximity to most of the Southern United States.
